【摘要】:Degradationoffluidlubricantsbecauseofoxidationorthermalbreakdowncanresultinfluidthickeningorintheformationofacidsorinsolublesolidsandrenderthefluidunfitforfurtheruseasalubricant.Thistestmethodcanbeusedforestimatingtheoxidationstabilityofoils.Itcanfunctionasaformulationscreeningtool,specificationrequirement,qualitycontrolmeasurement,orasameansofestimatingremainingservicelife.Itshallberecognized,however,thatcorrelationbetweenresultsofthistestmethodandtheoxidationstabilityofanoilinfieldservicecanvarymarkedlywithfieldserviceconditionsandwithvariousoils.ThistestmethodisdesignedtocomplimentTestMethodD5846andisintendedforevaluationoffluidswhichdonotdegradesignificantlywithinareasonableperiodoftimeat135x00B0;C.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedureforevaluatingtheoxidationofinhibitedlubricantsinthepresenceofair,copper,andironmetals.1.2Thistestmethodwasdevelopedandisusedtoevaluatethehightemperatureoxidationstabilityanddepositformingtendencyofoilsforsteamandgasturbines.Ithasbeenusedfortestingotherlubricantsmadewithmineraloilandsyntheticbasestocksforcompressors,hydraulicpumps,andotherapplications,butthesehavenotbeenusedincooperativetesting.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.IdentifiedhazardouschemicalsarelistedinSection7.Beforeusingthistestmethod,refertosuppliers''safetylabels,MaterialSafetyDataSheetsandothertechnicalliterature.
