【摘要】:Theforceanddisplacementvalueswhenconvertedtoaslopeareusefulinquantifyingthedifferencesintactileresponseamongmembraneswitches.Specifiedresistanceisusefultomanufacturersanduserswhendesigningmembraneswitchinterfacecircuitry.Actuationforceandcontactforceareusefultomanufacturersandusersindeterminingthesuitability,referenceandaestheticsofamembraneswitchinagivenapplication.Thetendencyofaswitchtomakeorbreakelectricalcontactatunexpectedmomentsduringclosureorreleasecanbeasignofapoordesign.Thedegreeofteasingcanrangefromasimpleannoyancetoafailureofcriticalcontrolprocess.Theamountofswitchsensitivityorteasingcanalsobearesultofpoorsurfaceconductivitythatwillpreventanelectricaleventevenwhenswitchpolesareinpartialcontact.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofforcedisplacementcharacteristicsofamembraneswitch.1.1.1ThistestmethodreplacesTestMethodF1570(TactileRatio).TactileResponseSlopebetterrepresentsthecharacterizationoftactilesensation,previouslycalledx201C;TactileRatiox201D;inTestMethodF1570.1.1.2ThistestmethodreplacesTestMethodF1682(Travel).1.1.3ThistestmethodreplacesTestMethodF1597(ActuationandContactForce).1.1.4ThistestmethodreplacesTestMethodF1997(SwitchSensitivity).1.2ForcedisplacementhysterisisloopcurvecanbeusedinthedeterminationofActuationForce,Displacement,ContactForce,ReturnForce,andTactileResponseSlope.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
