【摘要】:Theviscousandelasticbehaviorofunvulcanizedrubbersandrubbercompoundsisofparamountimportanceinrubbermanufacturing,sinceitaffectsprocessing,suchasmixing,calendering,extrusion,andmolding.Theuniformityofthesepropertiesisequallyimportant,asfluctuationswillcauseupsetsinmanufacturingprocesses.Atestcapableofmeasuringviscosityandelasticityofunvulcanizedrubbersandrubbercompounds,includingtheiruniformityandpredictionofprocessingbehavior,isthereforehighlydesirable(seePracticeD6048forfurtherinformation).Comparedtomanyotherrheologicaltests,thistestmethodmeasuresviscosityandelasticityrelatedparametersunderconditionsoflowshearandhasahighdiscriminatingpower.Itcandetectsmallrheologicaldifferences.AfulldiscussionoftheprinciplesbehindstressrelaxationtestingisgiveninPracticeD6048.Testresultsofthistestmethodmaybeusefulinpredictingprocessability,butcorrelationwithactualmanufacturingprocessesmustbeestablishedineachindividualcase,sinceconditionsvarytoowidely.Thistestmethodissuitableforspecificationcompliancetesting,qualitycontrol,refereepurposes,andresearchanddevelopmentwork.1.Scope1.1ThistestmethodisanadaptationoftheGermanStandardDIN53514,afurtherdevelopmentoftheformer"DefoTest"(see).1.2Thistestmethodiscapableofmeasuringandcharacterizingtherheologicalbehavior(viscosityandelasticity)ofunvulcanizedrawrubbersandrubbercompounds,relatingtothemacrostructureofrubberpolymers(averagemolecularweight,molecularweightdistribution,longchainbranching,andmicro-andmacro-gel).1.3Theviscosityandelasticityofunvulcanizedrubbersandrubbercompoundsaredeterminedbysubjectingcylindricaltestpiecestoacompression/recoverycycle.Thedependencyonshearrateatconstantshearstressisevaluatedandthematerialfatiguebehaviorisdeterminedinrepeatcycletesting.1.4Thenon-Newtonianviscousandelasticbehaviorofrubbersandrubbercompoundscanalsobeevaluated.1.5Statisticalevaluationofthetestdataprovidesanindicationofdatavariation,whichmaybeemployedasanestimateofthehomogeneityofthematerialtested.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
