【摘要】:Thistestmethodiseffectiveforthefollowingtestobjectives:5.1.1Todeterminewhetheraperceivabledifferenceresultsoraperceivabledifferencedoesnotresult,forexample,whenachangeismadeiningredients,processing,packaging,handlingorstorage;or5.1.2Toselect,trainandmonitorassessors.Thistestmethoditselfdoesnotchangewhetherthepurposeofthetriangletestistodeterminethattwoproductsareperceivablydifferentversusthattheproductsarenotperceivablydifferent.Onlytheselectedvaluesofpd,x03B1;,andx03B2;change.Iftheobjectiveofthetestistodetermineifthereisaperceivabledifferencebetweentwoproducts,thenthevalueselectedforx03B1;istypicallysmallerthanthevalueselectedforx03B2;.Iftheobjectiveistodetermineifthetwoproductsaresufficientlysimilartobeusedinterchangeably,thenthevalueselectedforx03B2;istypicallysmallerthanthevalueselectedforx03B1;andthevalueofpdisselectedtodefinex201C;sufficientlysimilar.x201D;1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedurefordeterminingwhetheraperceptiblesensorydifferenceexistsbetweensamplesoftwoproducts.1.2Thistestmethodapplieswhetheradifferencemayexistinasinglesensoryattributeorinseveral.1.3Thistestmethodisapplicablewhenthenatureofthedifferencebetweenthesamplesisunknown.Itdoesnotdeterminethesizeorthedirectionofthedifference.Theattribute(s)responsibleforthedifferencearenotidentified.1.4Comparedtotheduo-triotest,thetriangletestcanachieveanequivalentlevelofstatisticalsignificancewithfewerassessors.Fordetailsonhowthetriangletestcomparestootherthree-sampletests,seeRefs(1),(2),(3)and(4).1.5Thistestmethodisapplicableonlyiftheproductsarehomogeneous.Iftwosamplesofthesameproductcanoftenbedistinguished,thenanothermethod,forexample,descriptiveanalysis,maybemoreappropriate.1.6Thistestmethodisapplicableonlywhentheproductsdonotcauseexcessivesensoryfatigue,carryoveroradaptation.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
