【摘要】:Bothphysicalandchemicalchangesmayoccurfromweatherexposure,andthesechangesaffectperformanceproperties,servicelife,andmaintenanceschedules.Forthisreason,testsofpropertiesrelatingtoperformanceshouldbemadebothbeforeandafterspecificperiodsofoutdoorexposure.Thistestmethodrecognizesthatdifferinggeographicallocations,environmentalconditions,differencesbetweensurfacetemperaturesandambienttemperatures,andtestdurationsmayhaveextremelyvariedeffectsuponthetestresults.Thistestmethodistobeusedforcomparativequalitativetesting.1.1Thistestmethodcoversout-of-doorsexposuretestingoffinishesthatarenormallyfield-appliedtothermalinsulationwhichmayincludejointsorjointsealants,orboth.Suchexposuremaybeessentialpriortothedeterminationofcertainphysicalproperties.Thistestmethodmayalsoindicatecompatibilityproblemsbetweenthejointsealantandthefinishaswellastheabilityofthefinishtospanadryjoint.Thistestmethodisnotintendedtoevaluatemildewresistance,efflorescence,orchemicalresistance.Note1Fortestingfreeplasticfilms,seePracticeD1435.1.2Thistestmethoddoesnotprescribethemethodofapplication,testduration,orinspectionintervals.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
