【摘要】:1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofthebreakingloadandcalculatedflexuralstrengthofarectangularcrosssectionofapreformedblock-typethermalinsulationtestedasasimplebeam.Itisalsoapplicabletocellularplastics.Twotestmethodsaredescribedasfollows:1.1.1TestMethodI8212;Aloadingsystemutilizingcenterloadingonasimplysupportedbeam,supportedatbothends.1.1.2TestMethodII8212;Aloadingsystemutilizingtwosymmetricloadpointsequallyspacedfromtheiradjacentsupportpointsateachendwithadistancebetweenloadpointsofonehalfofthesupportspan.1.2Eithertestmethodiscapableofbeingusedwiththefourproceduresthatfollow:1.2.1ProcedureA8212;Designedprincipallyformaterialsthatbreakatcomparativelysmalldeflections.1.2.2ProcedureB8212;Designedparticularlyforthosematerialsthatundergolargedeflectionsduringtesting.1.2.3ProcedureC8212;Designedformeasuringataconstantstressrate,usingaCRL(constantrateofloading)machine.Usedforbreakingloadmeasurementsonly.1.2.4ProcedureD8212;Designedformeasurementsataconstantcrossheadspeed,usingeitheraCRT(constantrateoftraverse)orCRE(constantrateofextension)machine.Usedforbreakingloadmeasurementsusingafixedcrossheadspeedmachine.1.3Comparativetestsarecapableofbeingrunaccordingtoeithermethodorprocedure,providedthatthemethodorprocedureisfoundsatisfactoryforthematerialbeingtested.1.4Thesetestmethodsarepurposelygeneralinordertoaccommodatethewidelyvaryingindustrypractices.Itisimportantthattheuserconsulttheappropriatematerialsspecificationforanyspecificdetailedrequirementsregardingthesetestmethods.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionarystatements,seeSection11.
