【摘要】:1ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesmethodsforthedeterminationofthewatercontentofplasticsintheformofgranulesandfinishedarticles.Thesemethodsdonottestforwaterabsorption(kineticsandequilibrium)ofplasticsasmeasuredbyISO62.Themethodsaresuitableforthedeterminationofwatercontentaslowasthefollowinglevels:—MethodA0,1%orbetter;—MethodB0,01%orbetter;—MethodC0,01%orbetter.Watercontentisanimportantparameterforprocessingmaterials,andshouldremainbelowthelevelspecifiedintheappropriatematerialstandard.2ThreealternativemethodsarespecifiedinthisInternationalStandard.a)MethodAisanextractionmethodusinganhydrousmethanolfollowedbyaKarl-Fischertitrationoftheextractedwater.Itcanbeusedforallplasticsandisapplicabletogranuleshavingamaximumsizeof4mm×4mm×3mm.b)MethodBisavaporizationmethodusingheated,dryairornitrogengastoevaporatethewater,followedbyaKarl-Fischertitrationofthecollectedwater.Itcanbeusedforallplasticsandisapplicabletogranulessmallerthan4mm×4mm×3mm.c)MethodCisamanometricmethod.Thewatercontentisdeterminedfromtheincreaseinpressurewhichresultswhenthewaterisevaporatedunderavacuum.Thismethodisnotapplicabletoplasticsamplescontainingvolatilecompounds,otherthanwater,inamountscontributingsignificantlytothevapourpressureatroomtemperature.Checksforthepresenceoflargeamountsofvolatilecompoundsshouldbecarriedoutperiodically,forexamplebygaschromatography.Suchchecksareparticularlyrequiredfornewtypesorgradesofmaterial.
